Ricardo Walther begann seine Bundesliga-Laufbahn in 2012 als damals 20-Jähriger. Inzwischen ist aus dem talentierten gebürtigen Brühler ein etablierter Bundesligaspieler geworden, der auch international auf sich aufmerksam macht. Er gewann seine ersten beiden Turniere (Croatia Open im Einzel, Belgium Open im Doppel) und wurde mit dem deutschen Team Europameister, holte zudem Silber (Team) und Bronze (Doppel) bei den kontinentalen Meisterschaften. Im März 2020 gewann Ricardo bei den deutschen Tischtennis-Meisterschaften zudem den Titel im Einzel.
